Creamy Chicken with Mushrooms – A Quick and Delicious Meal

Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken fillet (boneless white meat)
  • 300 g fresh mushrooms
  • 200 ml cooking cream
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Preparation

Step 1 – Prepare the chicken

Cut the chicken fillet into thin strips or small cubes. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Heat olive oil or butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for a few minutes until it becomes lightly golden. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.


Step 2 – Cook the vegetables

Using the same pan, sauté the finely chopped onion and garlic until they become fragrant.

Next, add the sliced mushrooms and cook them until they soften and release their natural juices.


Step 3 – Combine everything

Return the cooked chicken to the pan with the mushrooms.

Pour in the cooking cream and stir gently so the ingredients combine. Let the dish simmer for about 5–7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.


Step 4 – Finish and serve

Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the dish for extra freshness if desired.

Serve immediately with rice, pasta or creamy mashed potatoes.
